How to Claim
The claims processing procedure at our organisation entails a thorough review of submitted details to ensure accuracy and adherence to policy guidelines.
Upon receipt of the necessary documentation, the designated team initiates the assessment process promptly. While our standard Service Level Agreement commits to completing the assessment within 48 hours, efforts are made to expedite this whenever feasible.
You can initiate a claim by contacting Groups R Us to obtain a claim form, or you can download the form directly from our website. Tel: 086 127 3342 | Email: claims@groupsrus.co.za
Once we receive your completed claim form within the claim notification period, we will register your claim in our system and provide you with a unique claim number.
During the assessment process, we will verify that your claim meets certain criteria, including confirmation of an active policy, up-to-date premium payments, details provided in the claim notification, and verification of the claim value with the Credit Provider’s statement of account. We will also confirm that the claim occurred within the contract period and collect relevant banking details.
If our team requires additional information or documentation to facilitate the review process, we will promptly communicate with you.
Following the assessment, you can expect to receive a follow-up email outlining the outcome of your claim.
Yes, insurance cover under the policy ceases if a benefit is paid for death or total permanent disability, if monthly premiums are not paid on time, if the claim event occurs outside the contracted period with the credit provider, or if the credit agreement is settled.
You must submit full details of the claim in writing to Groups R Us within 180 days from the date of the event giving rise to the claim.
Claims submitted after 14:00 on weekdays will be processed on the following business day.
You can notify us of your claim by calling us at 27(0) 86 127 3342 or emailing us at claims@groupsrus.co.za as soon as the details become known.
